Fairy Tail gets green-lit for fall season

I'll kinda echo Ilmaestro on this one. At the moment, the manga doesn't look to end anytime soon, and thats at 162 chapters now. The arc it's in is about to finish though. I could see the series going on for a good while actually, but doing what hayate did originally maybe worth while. Not to suggest that it'll be first half following the manga, second half being more filler-esque, as it may not get away with it like hayate can and did easily enough, but i expect it may have a couple of episodes here and there as filler.

Although it was a k filler, but I can guess that it's just gonna spend like 5 eps with them walking through the desert hungry.

As someone who reading fairy tail (got the first 8 books from Del ray) and watched about seven episodes of the anime series. I find the anime adaptation a poor reflection of the manga. It feel incredibly rushed with massive chunks of manga material being cut out and worse still with it being replaced with filler which makes no sense what's so ever. Fair enough if they want to quicken the pace up to the more epic arc but adding needless filler is inexcusable when existing material is lost.
