Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy Xiii

Doesn't bother me too much, I will be buying FFXII on the release date as I am dying to start another fantasy adventure, but will be saving XIII for a few months when PS3's will actually be available in the shots without having to queue for days or sell your own kidneys

i'm not to bothered about that really, for one, the PS3 can wait until prices are reasonable, and FFXII i may get sometime after its release, but not straight away.

I thought the time when people actually believed Etailer websites was long over... come on. The game hasn't been released in Japan yet. Final Fantasy XII indicates that it takes about a year for the European version of any FF game to emerge, after the Japanese version. Expect FFXIII in 2008.

Not that I could give a Fudge of the Flying kind. With Fabula Nova Crystallis, Square aren't even pretending that they're not milking this dead horse for all its worth (mixed metaphor intended). They've even admited that the games have no major relation to each other, they just occur "in the same universe". Whilst FFXII actually interests me in some way, FFXIII just looks like yet another FF game with the samey Nomura charcter designs and confused future vision (like FFX, XIII tries to give intimidating villians, but ends up completely undermining them in ridiculous costumes. Ooh! Scary Banana yellow masked soldier alert!)

edit: of course, it's on PS3. So I couldn't care less until it becomes in some way affordable.

Final Fantasy XIII: Super Hyper Turbo Mega Super Special Edition with an added 5 minutes plot line and super secret special ending. FF started getting a bit crap with X and I'm sick of this MMORPG stuff.

SE said that they want to recreate FF without the samey feeling. So, we expecting the whole thing to get revamped (including Battles, Towns for talking, etc)

But I think it will kinda fail in not distingushing its self. Not that I'm complaining, i like it the way it is.

Wth is: Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden, elaborate please.
Final Fantasy Adventure. A GB game from the early 90s that included Final Fantasy elements but eventually spawned its own series (seiken densetsu) that completed removed all FF influences. We know the series as the Mana series, and recently a GBA remake of the first game was released (Sword of Mana), minus the FF elements (so it's no longer considered a Final Fantasy game).

Anything else you would like elabourated on, feel free to ask impolitely.
