Why are so many people confident that it's going to be Mana? Girlfriend of Steel's premise is completley out of touch with the rest of Eva, Hideaki Anno had nothing to do with that videogame and two sources have said it's a completely new design. How can you be so sure it's Mana?

The "sillhouette" in that review is Rei :roll:

Nah, it's not Mana.

My guess is that she's a love interest for Shinji. I reckon Hideaki Anno is trying to show that he's now a happily married man, whereas in the original series, he was still recovering from clinical depression.

And I absolutely hate the idea of Shinji being happy. I really don't want a happily ever after story for Evangelion.

Sorry to here that lol i think Shinji deserves some hapiness, especially with the depressing out come of End of Evangelion. I think this 'new' ending will opt for a happier ending with Shinji accepting instrumentality. Well at least i hope so, time will tell.
