Namco Bandai have stated that due to size limitations in regards to the 3DS cartridge, as well as having to have the English, French, German, Italian and Spanish languages on one game card, the European version of the One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP remake of the two Wii One Piece: Unlimited Cruise chapters will only contain the first episode - half the content of the Japanese game.

Got them both cheaply on Wii anyway, so I'll get over it. They could have solved the problem by ditching the dubs though, sticking with just Japanese plus subtitles.

Right, ok, i never actually looked into that. Extra voices does explain it though. My copy is actually on the way here. I'm asking Namco-Bandai if they'd ever consider putting the second half on the eshop if given the chance, will be interested to see what kind of answer i get.

They don't have additional dubs, according to the EG review, it is just the amount of text that has pushed it over whatever limit they have. Seems like a flimsy excuse for not wanting to put the effort in to localize the other half of the game tbh.

That's exactly what I suggested on the Official Nintendo Magazine Facebook page. Namco Bandai should so release Part 2 on the Nintendo eShop. In fact, companies should use the eShop as a digital distribution platform for games that won't sell well here if released physically.

But yeah, the game only has the Japanese language track. It's the text, such as subtitles and in-game menus etc that takes up the space.

There is no dubbing in this game, at all. When you start the game up it prompts you to save extra data for episode 2, so they -may- release the second half. The game also comes with five individual coloured manuals for the languages included in the game.
