So, Julia lost control after consuming a Philosopher's Stone. Well that's all well and good, except that in the main series, Kimblee often swalloed his Philosopher's Stones and was able to regurgitate them at will with no ill effects. Sure, one could argue that as Kimblee was an absolute nut case, that wouldn't have happened (like when he managed to retain his individuality even though Pride absorbed him). However, what about Ashley? He was just normal. I'd say his corruption was most likely a result of himself and his trauma, as opposed to the stone. Anyway, if the stone did take control of Julia, why didn't she become a homunculus, like Wrath?
Also, at the end of the film, Ed was still referring to the Philosopher's Stone as the Sanguine Stone (or whatever the residents of Table City and Milos used to refer to it as)
