i dunno, u anti footballers are starting to sound like a bunch of emo's ;)

Yes, that makes perfect sense, after how all you football fans acted in your respective countries after you all failed miserably =)

Cmon now, people could just say the same thing about all our anime habits, each to their own.
Personally I grew up in a VERY football oriented family, and as such am a genuine fan.

Even though I'm not for or against football, seems you anti-football lot are being rather immature.

People like it, you don't. Get over it.

3 points to Maxon ^^

fails since i've not moaned once bout england failing, and we Welsh are to use to it

I'm no football fan, but i don't mind watching to see scotland play, and i know they have improved a lot since the start of the euro campaign, we aren't as crap as we where.
Anyways, i don't really see the point in arguing about it, because its an endless debate, one which usually ends bad, all i think is that we lose a game, oh well, its not the end of the world, there is always next time.

Hmm, not really. I don't hate football. I hate football culture and all the joys it holds. I think it's far too popular. On the news we had Gordon Brown and Alec Salmond wishing the team good luck. Don't they have better things to do than try and gain some fans by showing they care about football? Living in Glasgow, I've also seen some of the things football can do to people, and that's put me off also.

Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a debate. I don't hate the process of kicking a ball into a net, but when people begin to treat it as a huge patriotic matter, that ticks me off.

Sums up what I've always held.

generally isn't that down to drinking though?

Football is a catalyst for it, though. I heard an estimate for the number of pints drank last Saturday, the Scotland game, and it was insanely high. I'm fed up of being woken up at 2AM because of some idiots chanting outside my house, and I live on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Anyway, alcohol aside, I've had random neds come up to me and ask me what team I support, and I need to guess which one they do so in order not to get stabbed. Been lucky so far, thankfully they're normally wearing the shirts.
