DS Recommendations

I am buying a Ds this week and I was wondering if anyone had any decent recommendatios for games that are out on it. I Will Play pretty much anything.

As McIcy said Zelda is a great choice for it - you'll see what he means when you first play it!

Here are others I'd recommend with explanations just in case!:

Advance Wars Dual Strike: turn based war strategy with great battles, a mixture of generals to choose and powers and advantages for each unit
(having said that the new ones coming out tommorrow so that might be great too as that one does have online play)

Hotel Dusk Room 215: Not sure how to define this one - sort of a point and click but a great story with puzzles and iventive stylus use thrown in (you are a detective looking for his partner who you haven't seen in 3 years)

Mario Kart DS: Great racing game with old and new tracks - online play makes it a must!

Animal Crossing: Wild World - Life sim which focuses on the good bits...and animals!

Others that are good:
New Super Mario Bros
Starfox Command
Wario Ware: Touched!

Just a few to get you started!
 
Kirby: Power Paintbrush is great fun, not that well known. Also, the Sonic Rush games are great.

I didn't like Zelda as much as everyone else, but mainly for it's role in the series, not the game itself. It's definately worth a shot. But don't be surprised if you complete the dungeons in ten minutes!
 
If you can manage to import games, Get Touch Detective i really enjoted this game, Number 2 is out in the states now, but i'm waiting for the price to go down.

Also i'd recomend Final Fantasy 3 if your an Rp'er.
 
Only get Phoenix Wright games if they're cheap. Anything more than £15 and you're seriously wasting your money...they're easy and short. Still alright I suppose, but for a full price game...nah.

Jump Ultimate Stars is fantastic. I liked Another Code too, but it was one of the shortest games I've ever played...finished it in two days of light playing and felt absolutely robbed.

...or even better...get a PSP instead. ;)
 
DS, yes Zelda is a must, which is weird as i haven't got it yet....Anyway! i agree with Advance Wars: Dual Strike, but as of tomorrow Advance Wars: Day of Ruin is out so i recommend you get that to, i'm going off to get it after lectures.
Import wise, Jump Ultimate Stars is another must, i would say for a strategy person get Super Robot Taisen W as well.

Psp? Played them and felt like it was overly bulkier and less fun than any of the handhelds I've played before. And I've seen how easily they can break. And anyway any of the games that are out for it are poorer versions of xbox & ps3 games

I have been reading up on Pheonix Wright/Apollo Justice and do think it 1 of the games I'd love to play. Also Zelda, sj ultimate stars are games i've heard good rumors about

Really? I've played the first two, and the second game especially lasted quite a while.
 
I finally bought Viewtiful Joe and am loving it, can be frustrating as hell sometimes tho. I'm yet to start Trauma Centre: Under The Knife, but it's another one I had on my list for a while.

I quite enjoyed Children of Mana too, but didn't get too far before I got distracted. You have to get Bomberman Land (I think) if you have any mates with DS's, it's download play multiplayer so you only need one copy of the game between all of you. Freaking ace game.
