now are these going to be the ones done by funianimation or the crappy ones done by some forgien country because when i bought super saiya goku and strongest guy in the world why didnt they say that they would call the characters by different names
what kind of name is big green (piccolo)
and why does krillen sound like a little kid
and dont get me started on goku's voice, all i can say about it is, it is like having arnold swazanegger's voice put into gary coleman's body
grrrrr

I've seen super battle in the world, it was ok but they had a different dub cast, and they sounded really weird.

Unfortunately we've just cancelled our SKY Digital subscription earlier this month  , so I've just missed this movie roll-out. I'm anticipating a deluge of new and decent anime shows that may probably pour in over the summer :(

I'm not sure if any of the movies have the original voice actors, thats one of the things that really annoyed me about the ones i've watched. I will watch the last two, but i have the others and i didn't enjoy them very much....for some reason i'm getting major deja vu, or like i've dreamt this

Still got to be better than the Speedy dubs! Anyone ever seen any? There is one (and I mean ONE) Chinese man who does ALL of the voices - so damned funny

i dunno bout the dubs

it does sort of sound like the funi VA's but there something about them that doesn't seem right

guess we'll find out next week

well now the moment you've all been waiting for..............

the dub of the movies is by.......................

Bridge :(

how do i know?

well the DBZ movies 2-4 are all different names from the funi versions.

The names that bridge happened to of renamed them too

so much for watching the movies :(

i cant believe this why cant the uk get the american versions i think what happened was it was a game of chance they could of had the american versions or the dubbed version that is in the secret box

so they went for the box

i'm watching 'The Dead Zone' now on Toonami and the dub is awful, its stupid. Nothing the characters refer to is correct. They call Kami God, they refer to the dragonballs as crystals, krillins got some voice like a child and the call picolo 'Big Green'. Its stupid, the one where he fights Cooler (its my favourite one) better not be like this otherwise it will be total crap.

Yeah its the infamous "Bridge" dub. Its a shame Toonami couldnt try to get the FUNimation dub.
Oh well, Toonami been cheap i suppose.

To my understanding, Bridge has dubbed pretty much every Dragonball z movie there is. I know almost for certain that they've dubbed movies 1-9, so it's pretty likely that they've finished the job. Heres hoping Toonami learn of their mistake soon, otherwise we'll be continually subjected to poor dubbing, appauling dialogue, along with a pretty dodgy translation. ( I've seen Bridge's movie 9, it's bad, really bad.)

I caught a few moments of the movie earlier and I was wondering whether or not they've used the original Japanese music soundtrack? I've always been curious about how DBZ sounded before it was all Americanized.

FUNimation changed the music in all there dubs of the movies/TV Series. TBH, aside from the OPs (Head Cha La anyone?) the orginal music in the series really didnt suit it.

But thats just an opinion.

edit- The dub of DBGT (not the FUNi one for some reason) in the UK has the orginal music, plus a dubbed version of the excellent opening.

It sounded like the original soundtrack to me. Piccolo's theme was there, so I'm quite confident it is. Blue water studios kept the original soundtrack too. (Dragonball + DBGT in the UK) DBZ maintained much of Dragonball's music while DBGT received a new one.

Well they all have the original opening song so i guess they have kept the entire soundtrack.
As for the Funimation soundtrack, i really like it so i don't mind the change at all
