Heres the english opening for Dragonball Kai,

The song is called "Dragon Soul" and it's being sung by Sean Schemmel ( Goku ) .

I found this quite suprising, Goku can sing

Watching the original opening with subs, the translation is similar..

I agree, they are rather similar.

This made me grin. I think it captures the feel of the series nicely and it's great they're making the effort to dub the openings now.
