A Dragon Ball Z movie will be released next year and footage was released yesterday on Fuji TV’s Mezamashi TV programme.
The teaser video contains footage of Goku powering up into a Super Saiyan and shots of Shenron, the eternal Dragon. Dragon Ball Z fans will also recognise Hironobu Kageyama singing the famous Cha-La Head-Cha-La theme tune.
What we know about the project so far is that it has an original concept, screenplay and character designs from Akira Toriyama and that it will be directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro, a man familiar with the franchise due to his experience working as an animation director and in other capacities for many Dragon Ball Z film and TV titles. This new film is expected to get a release next April/May during Japanese Golden Week.
