Just a random question that is occassionally worth asking. A few years back I probably would've said no, but I am rather enjoying my moustache/beard combo at the mo.

Currently trying to grow a Tony Stark, but the sides aren't coming in too nice.

I understand this is a big "it depends" topic, but let's say is there any context in which facial hair looks good and then answer.

p.s. let's assume beards=facial hair in general so moustaches, goatees etc are all ok.
 
i tend to grow a goatee once or twice a year (just shaved one off this week) but they tend to get to a point where they itch too much so i shave it off
 
I can get some sideburns and a beard around my mouth but my cheeks are always fluff rather than proper hair. If I have a beard I like it when it doesn't itch or look patchy.

Interesting... mine never itches =/ I tend to shave mine because I end up stroking it too much =P but then I end up feeling the stubble where I shaved it instead.It's a vicious cycle =P
 
Tend to have a small goatie....i say small because after a while it gets on my nerves (whenever i'm laid on my chin, playin playstation or something) so use scissors to trim it back down to stubble.....i like the 5 o'clock look, don't think i'd get a full beard, and i praise you on the Tony Stark attempt...that is a heroic facial hair style.

Can't seem to get sideburns.... mustache and goatie can be shaven off one night and i'll have stubble hours later.....can be annoying at times....my neck is the most bothersome part - tends to get itchy and grows faster than anything else.
 
I like some beard, I can't personally get anything without it looking silly, but I think most people can pull off a bit of stubble. I think stubble-esque beard is the way forward.
 
I always keep shaving it off

but i'm not sure what to have meybe a tooth brush like Richard Herring.

I know i'll have a gottee but with like toggles on.
 
Since I'm female, having a beard would be quite bizarre.

However, I have freckles all over my face. And on some days, the freckles on certain parts of my face are more noticeable than the rest (eg. nose freckles one day, cheek freckles the next). (Yes, this is on the subject of beards... sort of)

Occasionally it's the freckles on my chin that are the most visible. And when that happens, from a certain distance it looks like I have stubble. D:
I hate it when that happens, I look like a bad transvestite.
 
I think the only people who like beards are the few men who have them. To everyone else, they're messy and generally unattractive regardless of what form they take (goatee, etc.). A small amount of neatly shaped stubble can be sexy on very specific guys, but other than that, I'm no fan of facial hair :p
