He, against the wishes of his goverment, signed thousands of transit vias for Jewish refugees to go to Japan - hence saving thousands of lives. (He is the only Japanese person who has received the title 'Righteous among the nations' by Israel)
Was just wondering if this film ever got made? There are a couple of Japanese documentaries I have found, but no further evidence for the film, so I doubt it, but if anyone knows different I would like to hear it.
Definitely a rather different story to base an Anime on, but a rather good one
