Devil may cry

3 was the best, 4 felt to rushed nothing really to unlock and backtracking for 7 levels spoiled it for me.

Actually 4 was pretty much repeating what number 2 had done, as Lucia basically started where Dante finished and ended up where he began. Besides there's still the cosutmes to unlock which give you unlimted D.T Guage.

Though number 3 is still a personal favourite just for the music and the young Dante and a chance to see Virgil before he became Nelo Angelo.

...Actually that's another reason why i like DMC4 the way that the plot goes back to previous DMC games for little things such as the angelic enemies being based on Nelo Angelo design, and the obvious questions about Nero's powers and why the demon that appears behind him when he activates D.T looks like Virgil's Devil Trigger form from DMC3

Half-decent franchise by Capcom, Dante is a decent character, but Nero is not, the only redeeming quality Nero has is his VA is Johnny Yong Bosch. I've played DMC, DMC2 and DMC4, out of them all the first one is probably the best, easily. Also, Capcom needs to bring back Dino Crisis.

The first will always be the best imo. I never played the 3rd one but considering that the consensus seems to be that 4 is greater or equal to the first one i was pretty unimpressed - it just didnt feel like DMC to me and the inclusion of a plot just messed things up. I dont care what you are or how you got here, just let me maul something already.

Im probably biased though, DMC was one of the first games i played on the PS2 and me and a mate played it to death passing the controller to have one more hack at sheep boy, good times.

I really like DMC.

The anime didn't catch my interest though. o_O

That happened with a lot of people

As for DMC1 since i didn't have a PS2 when it first came out so the first time i played it was when i picked it and DMC2 up after i had played DMC3. I got whupped by the the spider boss for ages T_T though i was happy when i finally beat him. :p For a while i thought that DMC1 was harder then DMC3

Just wondering, have you watched it? Because I know some people have watched it and said that it starts off awesome, then for a few episodes it's quite slow, but then it gets pretty good again.

First 10 minutes it's fuuuuck this is awesome dante is shooting the place up ****!
Then it goes down hill and every episode they force a sob story in with little to no action.
Not to metion they butchered what little character dante had.

Well, actually, I suppose I can agree with you there. I got bored with it after 3 episodes.

The first 10 minutes of the first episode I loved. And then Patty comes in and you're like: 'Meeh', then you hear Dante telling a 6-year-old that he's going to dream about hot chicks (almost wrote chickens o___O), so you might giggle, then... there's that bit in the theatre which was awesome, and then... boredom. Then more boredom for the next few episodes. So that's why I stopped watching it. I was beginning to watch it out of habit/watching it to see if it got any better, rather than having any actual interest in it, you know?

DMC 1 was by far the best game. everything was put together well.

the creators of dmc2 and dmc3 are different. dmc4 was made by the same team that created the first and third games but unfortunately their attempt to live upto the first game was short lived. as someones already said "backtracking through 7 levels"
and "end up back at the beginning"

the series is completely messed up
dmc3 - Dante in his youth
dmc1 - dante abit older
dmc2 - a grown up dante who decides most of the game on a double headed coin and is mostly cynical and sceptically minded.and ends with dante being locked in hell.
dmc4 - dante is older and has regained his old cheerful mannerisms (from the first game) and has some how managed to return to the living world again.

Dmc4 is by far the best in terms of graphics and nero is a great new character but fears of dante no longer appearing in upcoming games (if any)
