Protip: - If you haven't seen all of a series and don't want it spoiled, don't read the spoilers. People tend to put spoiler tags on for a reason...

Also, it's probably worth watching anyway, even if you know what's gonna happen, just to see it play out. It's not as if Romeo & Juliet suddenly loses all viewing value just because you know they both die at the end.

What? You haven't finished watching/reading it yet? O.O

I don't really like the last arc, it gets a bit too long and drawn out, they should of finished it at about 26episodes.

Yeah i prefer the first arc as well, didn't like some of the new characters they introduced i always thought that Near was just too smart, and Mello was just annoying

Mmm, I kinda felt like the second arc never really managed to be as tight and suspenseful as the first. M and N were just kinda dull...
 
Agreed, it still remained contantly entertaining throughout but it was kind of obvious that due to it's popularity it was hurridly extended. Even though I don't like the live action Death Note movies it should have ended in a similar way to how the second movie ended.

Agreement here. It all pulls together nicely for the finale, but there were some bits which had me yawning and wanting the plot to be moved along. Compared with the edge-of-your-seat feeling the first arc maintained it's pretty weak.
 
i started watching death note and really enjoyed it but i just seemed to start losing interest about half way through. i think its a really great storyline and is excuted pretty well but i just felt like some parts or charaters were just there to make the series longer. i also really disliked Mello!
