Really suprised no one has created a thread about this, now that it's over it may seem too late, but think i've twigged the point of the show.
Before he end thought it was 'Bones does Magic girl show' in its own inimitable style. All the hallmarks are there, talking animal mascots, wise old sensei giving training montages from hell. And while the style of the show didn't change I think that the point of the show was that Bones has started it's first ongoing series, or possibly franchise. The ending, while giving closure on a number of counts, but left more than enough open for another series or five.

Watched both series, but while the 1st season left enough dangling thread to have another series afterwards while wrapping enough up to not make you feel gipped, the second season wrapped up Suou's story nicely then had another few minutes of laying ground work for the next series. The male Yin, Kirihara's new Syndicate all of which serve no purpose unless for the next series. As a Bones Fanboy very excited at the fact that they are now looking at doing squeals.
