UK Anime Distributor Crunchyroll/Funimation/Manga UK Discussion Thread

Thanks didn't know this existed. I usually consume my anime on an Apple TV, and I know it should also be able to use VPN, but it has been ages ago since I last used this. Might check/enable it again to watch Ave Mujica.
 
Well, I do have VPN already, but since I live in the US I won't need to use it for something like this, but I certainly can if something similar happens in the reverse direction! I also wasn't aware of the Firefox plugin, good to know it's available.
 
Frieren Part 1 arrived. While I hate tempting fate, Crunchyroll seem to have put out a pretty nice release here.

Slip cover is this really lovely holographic design and the Amaray includes four mini-character art cards of Frieren, Fern, Stark and Sein (pretty sure these weren't even advertised, so that's a pleasant surprise for a standard edition).

On disk extras are kinda minimal as is typical but both disks have fourteen minutes of translated credits of everyone who worked on every episode which is pretty nice. Other than that it's just promos & clean OP/EDs including the special ED for the eps 1-3 releaseg.

It's like a shiny Pokemon card! That's very cool.
 
I love they are advertising Shield Hero Season 3 and yet it's not on this slate and March slate.

I wonder if Shield Hero S2 bomed here and the LE was short printed or the UK Crunchy Branch now hates Shield Hero 🤷‍♂️😐

Not because I'm a fan of it(I personally don't like it), but it was strange how Shield Hero was treated here LOL

So it Railgun T, JJK S2 Part 2 and Iruma Kun S2 are in May after all.

I was also wondering about Shield Hero S3. It's about the only title from Crunchyroll's February US releases that isn't yet announced for the UK.
It's one I want so I was paying attention to it.

I somehow missed that - Lol, I probably already pre-ordered it then, as I made a big pre-order at CR for all 3 months of January - March 2025 back in December. I just checked my order, and yes, I already have it pre-ordered! Doh! 😅
