Cowboy Bebop The Movie on SCI FI

If I had Sci-Fi I'd watch it even though I have the DVD. Can someone post if it's going to be subbed again or dubbed.

Shame i only found out about this now, you don't get sci-fi on freeview do you? Bugger.

I don't think i could watch bebop subbed, it's just one of those series where the voice cast fits it so well.

It's just started on Sci-Fi +1 in case anyone missed the first hour. If only I'd known about this sooner I would have made a news post.

You'd think it would've been advertised on the channel since it makes a rare appearance. 0.0

If it ever was, then I just didn't see it. :p

I have no idea why they keep airing the sub... It seems like they're more likely to get a lot more viewers if they aired the English dub. It's not like the dub is bad, in fact it's one of the best out there.

True as that may be; no dub can possibly be better than the original.

I'd say the Bebop dub is though.

You gotta remember that most people aren't willing to 'read a movie', even some anime fans say that.

Maybe its to give it that "exotic" feel, but i don't know the real reason, the dub is spot on and would be much better than the sub on english tv. Hyaku the english dub is better than the sub in my opinion, along with the Macross one i just cant imagine getting as much enjoyment out of it if i watched it in sub.

Sci-fi have shown a decent amount of anime films over the years, i can remember back in 2000/1 they aired an anime film a week, usually late on a friday or saturday night. I remember watching the street fighter film and im pretty sure they aired Akira (that is the one about the motor cycles isnt it)

They also aired one about cops going after an evil robot/mecha thing killing people, the lead character was a woman but i can't remember any big details but i'm trying to. That was one of the first anime films i watched and i want to see it again.

Fair enough, but when watching a non-english movie, I'd rather see it in it's original glory.

Same for me but the Bebop dub really surprised me(not just the movie but the series as well). If I'd have watched it the first time with the dub I might have thought it was an American made production. For once all the voices seemed to fit the characters. Some might see that as a bad thing though. I've seen old school fans complaining that some anime is too western but as for me I don't care as long as it's good.

Hmm, me too to be honest.

I've only seen a few episodes + the movie in dub, and it was done very well.
The japanese cut won me over though, as I saw the series in sub, and the movie before I saw any dubbing.
