Could you kill a mouse?

Yes..

I think the correct question is "Would you kill a mouse?":3

P.S : Post pics of the aftermath D:

At home we used to keep birds in an aviary. Mouse dirts are bad for birds, but the mice were attracted to the bird seed, so we had to put traps in places that were safe for the birds to keep numbers down. Also I killed quite a number with the air pistol or air rifle, the only time I was a little apprehensive of killing some was when I found a nest and used a shovel, there is something different about doing it with your own hands.

The mice are starting to invade. In the past it was only one but I've seen 2 in my room together today, having their own little party. There's also been loud chewing type noises from the storage room and mouse dropping in a draw downstairs.

My dog is useless, I can't kill them, I think it's cruel to let them die slowly with poison and none of them are daft enough to go into a trap that would allow me to chuck them outside. What do I do? :|

Killing a mouse....its not a point of if i could....because to be honest we all have the power to.....but i wouldn't want to.

I suggest having a look online, if it turns out being a door/field mouse then don't worry about the little guy, he won't wreak havoc. or breed like the plague either.

as for insects...i have a judgement on them depending on what it is.
if its a bee, gets ushered out of the window with some paper.
wasp, gets a nice mouthful of raid spray and is left to die (same with flies)

cranefly....the ones commonly mistaken as "flying daddy long legs" - welcomed into my room...yes i know your abit confused on that but i'll explain....the other week one got into my room and flew around my room all night, annoying me as it bounced off the walls, so i folder a single piece of paper over and smacked in in midflight, saying "sleep" as i hit him. fair enough i knocked it out. the following morning i woke up to find it sat on the piece of wall above my door, as i walked out it didn't move at all. my dog walked into the room and it went crazy. started dive bombing him and flying down near his head, till the dog got angry and started to try to bite it. gave up and walked off. on witnessing that i named him "guardfly" and left him in my room all day whilst i went to work.

got home and decided i'd let him go if he was still alive. opened the door and he flew down. must of realised it was me and flew back up to his "guardpost", i picked him up and cupped him in my hands, walking over to the window. opened it and put my hand outside.....it just sat there looking at me, so i ushered it off with my other hand, it flew off.

about an hour later my little friend was back through the window and sat on the windowsil, watching tv.
since then i let it out everyday and it comes back afew hours later, he still feels the need to guard my room, just sits in various places all day then flies down to say hi when i come in.

:)

indeed it could,
but unless a major action part comes in, where the fly turns against his master and have an epic fight, then it'd never get an award lol

I couldn't kill it. I couldn't kill anything, really. Even a little bug. I'd get someone else to set it free/get rid of it.

Although, when I was younger, a friend and I used to go around collecting ladybirds, and put them in glass jars. There'd be no air, and they'd die within several days or so. Sometimes we'd take them about after a while and pull their wings off, so they couldn't fly away. Fend for themselves, and all that.

Remind me to never get on your bad side ^^

I personally couldn't kill a mouse, it's against what I believe in. I used to have one in my room, but it's gone now. (That was like, a few years ago so you know)

My aunt had a problem with mice though and what she got was these plug ins you put into an electrical socket in the affected room. They emit a high frequency sonar noise. It's outside the human range of hearing, and are fine so long as you don't have any other small animals (hamsters, gerbils, rats, guinea pigs, etc) as pets. They don't harm the mice, just they can hear the noise and its uncomfortable so they don't come in. It's a more humane way to deal with it, and since she's started using them, the mice have gone away.

you people are so mean....you really are.

i had a mouse in my room, at first i was absolutly scared of him then i got a closer veiw of it, it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. i couldn't resist it through i did panic about it spread it's poo etc everywhere but i soon got used to that and we lived happy together, i put his food in a trap (safe trap no killing) and he would always get away. My mum was sick of it so she made we put a snap trap in my room....he almost got caught too...i just didn't have the heart to kill him. He went near it and i was like *nooooooo....* then he ran away. The next day he came out, quite bravely too, and started chasing his tail (so cute) i moved towards him, he never ran away and i caught him with a bucket. ^^ and i released him outside.........i miss him...

...Reminds me of a mouse I once caught. It ran right past me, and, well ya know, I couldn't resist picking it up. The little bugger ran out after being released from some bucket and looked sooooooo cute.

Tasted like chicken.

I couldn't bring myself to do it^_^;I'd just look into its sweet disease carrying face and lose any nerve that I had and probably end up giving it some cheese.I could never look at a mouse or rat the same way after reading Fruits Basket!^_^.
