sorry if this goes in the wrong place, I noticed for a while wherever I go that code geass released by beez seem quite expensive, first part for the first season is £35.00 on amazon whereas the rest is around £20+, I don't mind paying for that it's the first one that seems pretty much.

was wondering if there is a better place to get it online for a good deal.

Play have it at £25.99, personally I don't like play but if your desperate like me to get your hands on a copy, you'll probably want to order a copy.

Also sometimes your local HMV may still have a copy, mine does for £40

nice thanks, I'm not in desperate need for it yet, but wow £40 was it worth it? I mean what extras do you get with it or was it just the episodes and textless OP/ED

Oh no, I didn't buy it, £40 a bit to much for dvd's now adays, £25 on the other hand isn't so bad. Yeah its just the episodes + OP/ED if I remember rightly but Geass is pretty damn amazing, so even just having the episodes them selves and nothing else is still awesome.

I payed £50 for R1 and £42 for R2 I think. I regret nothing! Though there's pretty out of character for me, but CG is one of my top anime and I didn't want to wait for a boxset like I am with Gurren Lagann

The R1 had the actual extras.
It is advertised as having them, we lost the OST and the booklets though.

Goddam double dipping on DVD and BD... I don't really want to add up how much S1 of Geass cost me in the end. ^^; Still (mostly) don't regret it.

Not advocating bootlegs but I saw the whole series with a CD with English subs for 30 pounds on some site

what would the downfalls be with getting this, except for the dub and it will probably have mediocre subs it's pretty much the same

If you want a pirate copy you could get one in Bluray quality for free.
It is better to download the free fansubs than buy the bootleg.

The only advantage* of legal copies over fansubs is that some of the money goes back via licensing to the people that made it. Buying a pirate copy defies the point of buying it in the first place.

*Or the extras, but you don't normaly get them except with the Japanese version.

I'm fully expecting Geass will show up on the Anime Legends label before too long.

Given that I hear wonderful things about the show, and yet I'm still not sold on the look of the thing, that's what I'm waiting for. It's like Gurren Lagann for me in that respect.
