Anyone have any idea when vols. 7 & 8 are gonna appear? Has ADV given any indication (nothing on their website) or is it the same old story: an absolute shambles.

The latter, I'm afraid, ADV's manga division seems to be 'on hiatus' atm (to put it nicely). No idea when/if it'll get back on track, but as a cynic I'd say don't hold your breath.

I can't wait till volume 7!!! ADV mangas take ages to come out! I got the adv manga Gate and the 2nd volume isn't coming out intill March/April!!!
