Blue Dragon Vol. 1 & 2 given Release date of 01/06/2009

Blue Dragon has been currently been given UK release date of 01/06/2009 and will contain 2 discs, so probably 8-9 episodes and so three double disc dvd release.

Yeah, there was a little leaflet in the Naruto Series 5 Part 2 DVD. It had an image of the cover art which had it listed as an age rating of 12 though. I thought Blue Dragon was edited and an Uncut version wasn't released in the US. Anyone think we could be seeing this uncut?
 
The anime is based off of the game it shares the same storyline but some things are different, like characters personalities and how they act to each other, etc. I think it's actually directed by Akira Toriyama.
 
It's "based" on the game, but takes an alternate tack on the game's story.

oh right, cool, i liked the game, so ill check out the anime
 
Erm, isn't the game it's based on supposed to have a basic, simplistic RPG plot? I remember reading that. I only remember the HD visuals and Dragon Ball character design getting praise.
 
I'll give it a miss I reckon. I'm wary of game to anime adaptions as it is, Gungrave being the only exception that comes to mind.

Sounds about right, would have killed for a Lost Odyssey anime. : (
