Best starting pokemon

Bulbasaur.
Here's my epic explanation:
Oh, and by the way, even in my pokémon strategy guide, it says about the best starting pokémon being SQUIRTLE.
Like Aaron said, Mudkip is good. I think its ok, because that is also water pokémon and goes on the same basis as squirtle.
But, then again...
SQUIRTLE IS THE BEST!!!

Here's my epic explanation:
Squirtle was, by far, the best starting pokémon.
Squirtle was a water pokémon. The first gym leader had rock pokémon, and the best thing against rock pokémon is, yep that's right, water pokémon. Also, alot of the pokémon in the starting area, were very weak for water pokémon.
As for the Bulbarsaur, did you notice that every starter pokémon, except from Bulbarsaur had its own game, and had its picture on the front?
And, at the chaos, pikachu was a good pokémon, but WAAYYYYY over rated. Just because it was Ash's favorite pokémon, somehow it makes it so amazing?
So, I think the answer to:
Is, yes, there is. And its Squirtle.
Oh, not to forget, doesn't this pokémon look awesome to you? Its intimidating, and cute, at the same time!

Nope, It was a fuckup of a version. Glitchy and horrible sprite and animations. No one got it and everyone went for Red so it was out-selling Green immensely. Hence, Nintendo/GameFreak fixed it up and released Green under the title of Blue and the equality began.Yagami said:Saving the best till last!

Charmander was the best! It was the hard option in the short-term (it made the gym battle against Brock and Mysty very hard) but it worked out better in the long term than either Squirtle or Bulbasaur did
