Why couldn't they have got John Cleese back? I'm not sure this guy will be able to be a convincing Q; looks too young to be the head of Q branch *pouts*.
 
Aww for some reason I clicked this assuming that was the name of the next Trek film and it was going to be all about the Q. I even had a post about John de Lancie forming in my head.

That was the Q who came to mind for me as well Rui.... Has the prospect of John de Lancie as Discord (basically Pony Q) enticed you to watch those particular episodes of MLP:FiM?

As for the other Q, much as I like John Cleese, I do think he seems less appropriate for the tone of the new Bond films (although I'm less hopeful for this one anyway after the formulaic "confront the villain in his silly hideout" end to QoS). This guy does look far too young though.
 
What even is the "other" Q.

Although I find it interesting that a video game (The World Ends with You) still has the most "Bond" title I've seen in the last decade, and this Bond film has a name that sounds a lot more like a video game.

I was not aware he had graced the ponies with his presence. Perhaps I could watch it blindfolded ;_; (really don't like the Flash-style animation much, though it's possible I could be won over eventually with exposure).

On Bond, I haven't really enjoyed the films in a while (I literally remember absolutely nothing about the last one) but it's one of those series nobody strongly objects to when I get together with friends to kill time, so I'll probably see it eventually. I didn't think Cleese was that great as Q and don't know this new guy. Hopefully the plot and script come through.

Even by Bond standards that premise is lame and goofy, the worse thing is that the new films take themselves too seriously so I can't go and watch Quantum of Solace and look at it ironically, Casino Royale was fine, but it looked more like a poor man's Bourne than Bond.
 
I never got round to watching all of Quantum of Solace. When I was watching it, I had to stop halfway through due to Mum having to call the police for something. Never bothered to watch the rest of it. I've heard it's crap though.
