BEEZ UK Online Store Is Now Open For Business!

BEEZ online UK store is now official open for business and they are ready to take orders. Currently they only have Blu-Ray for Gundam Unicorn for sale but they promise to expand the site catalog in the upcoming weeks. You may see some text not translated from french to English yet but this will be sorted in due course.

Also to remind you that our other major UK Anime distributors MANGA & MVM both also have there own official UK online shops.

MVM:http://www.anime-on-line.com/

Could have sworn the site has been "ready to go" and in the same state for a few weeks now...

Also, £28? Alas, no. Not that I am particularly interested in buying any Gundam anyways. G-Gundam is the only one I have purchased.

Beez owns Manga and MVM???
No, he just thought it would be fair to advertise the other labels' own shops as well.

It's Bandai Visual and their release/pricing strategy. According to Amazon.co.jp the retail price for Gundam Unicorn is 5040 yen, which equates to £37, so perhaps the savings from not having it certified have indeed been passed on to the consumer.

It will be interesting seeing the sales figures for Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. I know I will not be buying it at that price - £28 for an hour just not worth it.

Maybe it doesn't save as much as people think? :)
More likely that they priced like that to avoid japan from buying it elsewhere. From what I understand, Beez was basically not releasing it in the UK at all and the beez shop was an attempt to get unicorn in the UK in some form, even though it's far from ideal.

In honesty, I can only see a handful of hardcore Gundam fans getting that. It's a shame though. I did buy it already, but I have nowhere to watch it yet, as my TV is sitting boxed in my living room and my BD player is at my mates house. :(

So much to choose from. =P
Ouch, that's a hell of a price to pay for an hours worth of Gundam. tbh I've seen higher prices for anime on Blu-ray.

I have blu-rays that cost more than that - the only difference is that they have more than 1 hours worth on them.

Well, the shop has been added to my favourites. I'll look forward to seeing it fill up with titles.

But the situation with Gundam Unicorn continues to irritate me. It's out of Beez hands, I know.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The show's a skip for me. I'll be waiting on a complete box set. And I dread to think how that's going to be priced.

Bandai Visual need to acknowledge that by the west's standards, this is atrocious value for money. At HALF that price, I'd still be thinking 'under an hour of material... is it really worth it?'
