Beez celebrates with fans at London Expo!

and is sword of the stranger possible be released in cinemas or is it a straight to DVD kinda thing?
My guess is that if you didn't catch it at last year's Leeds Film Festival, you'll either have to hope it gets included in an equivalent exhibition or settle for the DVD.

Can't wait to see you guys down there, Beez.

You became my favourite dealers at the expo when you had early Haruhi dvds a few cons ago, can't wait to grab some Gurren Lagann goodness.

How much gurren lagann limited edition gonna be?

I need to finalize the prices still for that as I was awaiting confirmation it would arrive on time, which it looks like it will now. Probably about £30 max, regular edition will be £20.

and do any of those volumes have box sets?
like eureka 7 ????

Edit

oh and do you have all the volumes of those shows you mentioned
because if you do I can save about £30 getting eureka 7 in the individual volumes rather than the box sets same with Gundam seed

I have all for pretty much all of them, one or two of the older series we have a volume or two missing I believe but I'm trawling through my PR stock to see if I can supplement it.

It's not only possible, it's included in the plans. I will discuss this more at London Expo :).

Are the LE Haruhi boxsets going to be on sale at the Expo, especially Volumes 2-4?

We have a few LE's of Haruhi left, only selected volumes though but I've asked for them to be shipped to Expo so you'll be able to get some of them definitely!

See above, but as I say - that won't be the case - I'll say more at Expo though for it :).

i am gonna defo be going to the expo this time!
interested in picking up Gurren Lagan LE and if i see any boxsets on the cheap!

-EDIT-

oops almost forgot to ask.
Hey Andrew, i was wondering do you know which boxsets you will be stocking on for sale at the expo? because from my experience i know that almost most of the Beez boxsets (e.g. cowboy bebop, wolf's rain, planetes etc...) are no longer available or extreamly hard to come by be it at retail or online stores.
just wondering...

Sorry missed the question inititally!

We'll be stocking pretty much all of the boxsets, some of them may be out due to being reprinted just now but I'll bring as many as I can. Planetes and Cowboy Bebop I will definitely have, Wolf's Rain I am chasing up now since we sold out of the Definitive Edition!

No anime fan should be without the Patlabor movies. Unless they have really, really bad taste, in which case they'd be excused. First one's my favourite, too, but the second is one of the most amazing looking animated films I've ever seen. They're not really action films, though, and the second in particular might fail to hold the interest of those with a short attention span.

But won't I need to have seen the series to enjoy the movies properly? :s

Not at all. I have never seen the OVAs nor the TV series, and I was very satisfied by these films. The storylines present themselves in such a way that no prior appreciation of the characters is required; everything is plot-oriented.
Those who don't like Mamoru Oshii's style of including long-shots and plenty of expositionary dialogue may not like them though.

I'm glad to say I can now confirm we will have copies of Gurren Lagann a whole 1 month early from its release date at London Expo! They shipped according to schedule and tracking shows them to be in the UK as to be expected today so will be at the event on time for Saturday!

Limited number of units, like Haruhi so best come quickly if you want one!

Hi Andrew, were you able to confirm the prices?

Hi Andrew, were you able to confirm the prices?

Yes! I'll be doing them for a one-off price of £20 for the RE and £30 for the LE edition, which is an amazing saving all in all, cheaper than even online so get them while you can :)!

Edit: Obviously like what we did with Haruhi, as this is all 1 month in advance stock is limited so first come first served!

I still say it's better to watch at least the first Patlabor OVA's before the films. And I think prior knowledge of the characters is definately a bonus. Take a scene like Kanuka's introduction in the first movie... If you hadn't seen the series first that would be of no relevance to you at all - You wouldn't even know who she is! The OVA's just give you a decent amount of backstory and character development that will make you appreciate the films so much more.

Speaking of which - Get Beez to release the rest of Patlabor over here Andrew, what are you waiting for? :p

Hey, just wanted to say your booth was cool today. I picked up the Patlabor DVD's as I was looking to try them out. Great price and really friendly guys!

Cheers

Mike

You mean....The elusive OVAs and TV series? That'd be like eating a sandwich filed entirely with brilliance!

I also noticed some GunBuster material for sale at the booth. I'd love to see the original OVA make an appearance over here.

Nice meeting you guys from Beez again. Gurren Lagann, Patlabor movies, .Hack limited edition, Freedom and Gunbuster /Diebuster.

The care you guys have with those awesome releases is really something else.
