Bandai Licences Haruhi movie

Bandai has announced via a video on youtube that it has licenced The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and will be showing it on May 21st 2010 at the Viz Theatre and there is a webpage listed

Note that this may just be a licence for theatrical distribution, and a limited one at that.

This does not at this moment mean that they have the licence for distribution on Home Video formats.

That will be a separate announcement down the line, but I would be shocked if they didn't release it eventually.

Also, it doesn't mean Beez have rights for the UK just yet, but I doubt we would not get it sooner or later (hopefully sooner, but then again....)

So that's a theater release... on the west coast of the USA. And a home video release... only on DVD. Not exactly thrilling news.
