Just give me Season 2 already!

I'll watch it, it looks kind of fun. Also, that song from the second half of the PV sounded straight out of Aldnoah Zero.

Same singer who helped the composer Hiroyuki Sawano whom worked on Attack on Titan, Aldnoah.Zero, Blue Exorcist, Kill la Kill, Seraph of the End etc.

Is this like the Fummoffu equivalent of Attack on Titan? More focus on comedy and other shenanigans? I'd be interested if that's the case.

Probably the best summary of it, yeah! It's based off the Attack on Titan: Junior High manga :)!

Definitely sounds like something I'd like then, because I'm part of that weird subsection of anime fandom who actually prefers Fumoffu to the main FMP series!

This looks interesting, but seems like it could either be really good or really bad. I bet FUNi will get it and we won't be able to see it legally, and I bet they'll do the same thing with season 2 of the main show as well.

Somebody really needs to bitchslap them round the face and tell them to get their act together...

I found the manga abysmal and dropped it forever after buying the first volume, but that was largely due to the translation (which I found impossible to follow due to the heavy localisation). I'd be interested in giving the anime a try to see whether the original dialogue helps the laughs flow better.

(What I experienced from the manga was like what I've heard a few fans complaining about with overly-literal subtitles in comedy. I was spending more time trying to decipher the 'hip' modern language and references to US pop culture than following the stories. It killed it.)

R, super unhip

This looks interesting, will give it a go.

I reckon we're good on all things AOT as long as A/L are around. I'd place money on them getting the second season.

I wouldn't (well not for the UK, but I would for France).

My guess is that after the phenomenal success of the first season, Kodansha will want to keep things as close to the way they were before. Although, given Andrew isn't known to post in threads to which AL isn't involved (and AL has dealt with Kodansha before), they may very well already have Junior High...

I have to confess, I'm worried we'll end up with a situation like Dragon Ball Super with the 2nd season of AOT, considering how popular it's likely to be.

I doubt it. I get the impression Toei sees children as the primary audience for Dragon Ball Super, and as a result they're waiting for a dubbed TV broadcast, so they can merchandise the hell out of it. AoT merchandise, seemingly does well, but probably not that well.

Also, Toei seem reasonably opposed to streaming, especially in Europe, Kodansha don't. They're even simulpubbing some of their more high profile manga on Crunchyroll (some with complete archives), at the potential expense of their own subsidiary.

I should probably watch the original anime first but this does sound like it could be my kind of thing. I'm quite fond of FUMOFFU myself.

Cool? Maybe? I haven't really felt the urge to read the manga, and really would rather have season two of the main show, so maybe not, also.
