Arrietty's UK premiere scheduled for May 29th in Sheffield

Although its UK theatrical release is still provisionally scheduled for late July, it appears that Studio Ghibli's latest movie offering Arriety, will be getting its UK premiere on May 29th.

This premiere of the studio's film derived from The Borrowers will be screened at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield as part of the Showcomotion Young People's Film Festival. The screening in question will be in Japanese with English subtitles, and takes place on Sunday, May 29th at 5:30PM.

Unfortunately, all my money will be stashed away for my trip down to Birmingham on 3rd June for the Pokémon VGC. However, I'm glad to know that Arrietty is getting a cinema release.
 
ZOMG FINNALY! something i can easily go to without spending lottsa money. Imma gonna drag my sister since she loves Ghibli too XD!! this is gonna be the best 5 minute bus ride to see a movie EVER!!
 
Nice to see it finally hitting the U.K. i,ll most certainly be seeing it on the big screen evetually when it comes to glasgow,always good to see any Ghibli movie on the big screen,already got the japanese dvd pre-ordered,really looking forward to seeing it. :D
