Are you a Hikikimori? :D

Just started watching Welcome to the NHK and i heard this word come up. Because i hadnt heard it before i had no idea what it meant and they kept using it so, like most college students, i wiki'ed it :D. I was reading through a few of the paragraphs and (annoyingly enough) some of it sounds like me :S LOL! Although not as dramatic as some bits in there...

Was wondering what others think about this? As i cant be the only one feeling like this :D

No, You play Galge's?

NHK Rules, Need to read the manga and I'm currently working my way through the anime, Mid-way. Surprised by how different it has turned out to be compared to the novel. Is the manga the same as the anime?

Hmmm...
Ryo's like that, except he does go to work and talk, plus he has internet friends... But apart from that, that sounds a lot like him.

I'm more of an otaku. I dont mind socialising if it's been planned with friends etc. I just can't be arsed with the efforts myself and go home to watch anime. ;) I'm starting to try though.

Nah, I don't think I'm a hikkimori. I spend lots of time alone, but that's because of where I live (the countryside, where it unconvient to regularly visit friends houses etc.) not because I chose it!

Well i do like going out with mates. But i find it hard, im a very shy person although i dont always act it.
I dont like being alone with someone (unless its someone im close to) and i dont really like being in big groups because i feel ignored.
