Anyone up for a post-Xmas meet?

The expo meet was good, but there was this big expo thingy distracting us, so we didn't all get to see each other.

Anyone like the sound of a 'pure' meet just after Xmas, where we'd all meet up for the day or a couple of nights & just do stuff together?

Just fishing for ideas at the moment. :) My suggested locations are either London, Birmingham, or Bristol. Any ideas?
 
im up for it.

we just have to deicde where we could go which is like in the middle.

i dont mind traveling tho or getting a in for a few nights.

so whereever would be fine with me.

Blackpool is a nice idea - lots of things to do, never been there before etc. Maybe we need to find the exact spot in the middle of the UK and meet there! :?
 
Sounds like an excellent idea! I've been on a couple of UK-A organised meets and they've been really good fun. It's great to meet everyone in person and it contributes to the forum atmosphere too.

Post-Christmas is cool since it's an expensive time of year! Somewhere in the Midlands sounds good, mainly because it's pretty much, well, midway. London's a nice place but soo expensive! I'm personally not too bothered about exact location since I should be driving by the new year anyway ( a pre-emptive w00t).

Definitely an idea to keep in mind. :D
 
we need to set something up as i need to book day off from work and stuff.

maybe we should have a msn meeting/chat to sort things out?
 
After discussion with the V-man, I'd like to suggest the following date & location:

Birmingham (Birmingham New Street station) 11am
Saturday the 7th of January, next year.

I know Birmingham well enough to act as a guide, & its station is one of the easiest to reach from other parts of the country. Of course, this is just a suggestion, but popular approval will make this set. Chosen the Saturday with consideration for all weekday workers & schoolers in particular. So, who would be able to do this? If not, is it the date or the location? Birmingham is the best I can find; to far north & the south can't make it, & vice versa.
 
.....o_O!!!! £80? Blimey.......is that including discounts for advance tickets, etc? £80 really does seem excessive. Or is Blackpool farther than I thought?
 
I'd like to meet up with some of the people from this board, if you wouldn't mind; just to see who I was posting with. Birhmingham is a bit hard for me to get to though, but I can see why you chose it - being a more central location.

If you're doing anything closer to London then please let me know.
