Another live-action adaptation

This news nearly made me barf, seriously... 'Clueless' meets 'Crouching Tiger...' sounds like perhaps the worst idea I could imagine. Tokyopop, what are they thinking of?! (other than a quick $$$$)

Live-action anime adaptations don't really work well. Anime is animated for a reason - namely because it works. Not that this will stop me from watching live-action Cutey Honey or Eva though...

Another phase of Americanisation has begun.
I really can’t imagine Melissa Joan Hart filling the role of a Samurai (isn’t she abit old to be playing a tenth grader anyway?), I bet they turn it into one of those ‘American teen’ drama/love story movies.

"Clueless meets Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" - have you seen how terrible Clueless is? And talk about destroying the good name of Crouching Tiger.

Oh well. Who knows, it could end out good. :wink:
