Aniplex USA to release OreImo in October

Aniplex USA has announced that they are releasing Oreimo (Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai) in a subbed only DVD boxset featuring all the episodes plus the 4 OVa specials. The set includes a 16 postcard set and a 24 page booklet.

I watched a few episodes as they aired and was enjoying it until the brother's cringeworthy dramatic outburst in defence of his awful sister. It's a tentative "maybe".

SIR! Usually I wouldn't but ImageShack wouldn't animate it and I didn't want to link to Danbooru, repository of filth that it is. I didn't consider the image NSFW because to someone pure as myself it looks innocent enough, but sorry if I got anyone sacked.

Anyway, there's a predictable fuss at the usual places about the lack of Blu-ray. Don't get me wrong: more anime in HD is always nice, but given the show's popularity in Japan it was always going to be unlikely this soon, especially for anywhere in the $70 ballpark.

The fact that I got claps for pulling off a "I AM A MAN! *PUNCH*" during that scene speaks volumes.

My mangled attempt at the shinji rant at the end could have done with more finese though.

Hmm, I don't think I was there for that one. I can only remember being there when they showed the first two eps and then the last two. Was voting with my feet on the rest of the show...

The long and short of it was that there was this scene where the father found out the porn stash and was taking whats her face to task when the bother took the bullet (and by bullet, I mean Superman at Earth's End punch to the face). This was the opening I needed to throw in the Atop The 4th Wall reference.

Lest it's not as bad a 'Onii-chan no zoto' that...that was ****. Sorry did I say **** I meant Xebec
 
I thoroughly enjoyed Pandora Hearts :p

And Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin was one of those shows everyone was going mad over until there were some average episodes, which somehow undid the enjoyment the viewers got out of the start of the series in that odd way I've never understood...

Going to put in my preorder for this and AoEx once a bit more stuff is solicited to spread shipping charges out.

This news kind of blew my mind until I saw no Blu-ray. Might still buy just because.

Also, what did Xebec have to do with Occult Gakuin?
