Further good news was announced - Anime Network has been renewed and will actually be expanding to Saturdays in addition to its current Sunday block. Saturday shows include Azumanga Daioh, Pani Poni Dash and Kurau: Phantom Memory, while Innocent Venus will be newly appearing on Sunday. The issue of Virgin Media arose again and it was reiterated that Virgin requires solid prior viewing figures before considering inclusion of a channel on their platform.

\o/ saturday and sunday showings aswell and the new channel, anime is finally taking it's rightful place

there was another part of it that sort of contradicted it's self but there was the impression that the current lineup will be reshowing during the weekdays

When does this Saturday night stuff start airing then?

A couple of television-related items were discussed. Anime Network will be rerunning its first batch of shows starting on September 1st (presumably on weekdays, since they have new shows on Saturday and Sunday?) while the new Anime Central will be starting on September 10th. Before Anime Network went to air, they only had around 6 to 8 weeks to promote and advertise it.

that's what's said, personally i assume that Saturday's will be the new stuff and Sundays repeating the current lineup

*goes to look up Kurau: Phantom Memory and Innocent Venus*

Huh, cool.... Anyways, saturdays = yay. Although, I have already seen azumanga and really didnt fund much of it funny...just very, very odd....
