UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Guess Blue Giant is not showing at Showcase. Talk about incompetent. Normally tickets would be on sale at least a few weeks or a month beforehand, but nope. It's like they're sending the movie out to die.

Yes, I found out just the other day AL held shipment of my New Years Sale order I had placed on December 27 with free international shipping, which has Kids on the Slope CE in it, so I assume they will ship once they get sets with the fixed problem disc. I also had the Flowers of Evil CE and Death Parade CE in the order, and they did ship a partial to me of Flowers of Evil and a small poster tube with a Kids on the Slope poster in it, which I just received today. Not sure why they didn't include Death Parade as well, I hope that one is not out of stock.

Blue Giant is screening at a nearby Showcase, but only at 4:15 in afternoon on the 3rd of Feb, where a friend who is interesting in tagging along will not be available. sigh Hopefully more dates will be added. It's kind of crazy how a big release, one that clearly has wide appeal, is being handled with such inefficiency.

Is the Gundam Origin set exclusive to AtA shop? I see that it is still not listed on AoL shop and I would like to purchase (from overseas). Shipping is less for me from AoL compared to the £25 postage at Anime Limited.

At the time of writing this we've not received any details in schedule updates and as it's listed as officially out today we have to assume it is exclusive to them.

I hope we get to see pictures of the upcoming Naruto and Bleach sets.

I also hope that AL will be true to their word when they said they would be releasing the series relatively quickly - I'm not waiting 10 years to finally own all of Naruto & Bleach on blu-ray

Same. I found my old DVDs recently and am looking forward to updating something that will likely be a lot neater and nicer.
And I do hope so too. Don't want an Inuyasha situation.

The Naruto 'Unleashed' DVDs? I had them at one point myself and then sold them as I had superior copies on my hard drive. I remember I had a couple of the old Bleach sets on DVD too.

You'd think Naruto and Bleach will be huge sellers, so hopefully they'll be keen to get them out ASAP. They're a day 1 pre-orders for me, I don't care how much they are. I even got an Anime Unlimited membership for the discount, in preparation because I know I'm going to get all the sets (fingers crossed).

Although, given that there have been issues with missing subtitles and missing episodes on various releases recently, there's no doubt there'll be something wrong with Naruto and Bleach given their length.

Curious to see what they have to reveal, since we already know the four Early Birds for February unless delays have occurred for Blue Thermal, Eureka: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution, Somali and the Forest Spirit, and Granbelm: The Two Princep.

I've got the Shippuden parts myself, and then various parts of Bleach with missing gaps as stuff became hard to find. Even had the first two Bleach seasons as these little box sets with extremely thin cases, so I know it's old now.

I'd hope so too. Based on what they seemed to say at MCM back in October, they indicated the first part of Bleach at least would appear early this year, so February and March time seem like they make sense. Naruto could be at the same time or similar, hard to say as it got announced later, but they did also say they wanted to be releasing them consistently, like 1 every 2 months I think. If they can do that, it'll be great because otherwise it could take forever to get through it all.
And I can't see these not selling well either. Naruto can be gotten but it's older now and only on DVD. Bleach is basically impossible at times for specific parts. But both are well known names so they draw a larger audience than some stuff does.

I do hope they don't get issues like that. It's frustrating when something shows up but you basically need to get a replacement sorted.

I'm also looking forward to both the Bleach and Naruto sets, if nothing else to get some room on my shelves! ... Like a little bit, anyway. Plus I'll be able to put them in my main shelf unit with the Blu-Rays rather than the smaller "these shows are still stuck on DVD" shelf unit that's sort of tucked away...

I just received an email claiming my copy of Shirobako Collectors Edition is on its way from AllTheAnime, which makes me wonder where I got the copy sitting on my table from.
Going through my old emails from last month. Never received an extra copy so I assume it was a VERY delayed notification for the set I received without warning before Christmas. :)
