Anime fans from Isle of Wight?

I'm not on the island but I am over the water in Gosport.
Hard life being an anime fan here. I have never encountered another person who likes anime. I hear people talk online from various other places as if it's a regular occurrence but here it's a once in a blue moon event. And I've never seen that blue moon thus far.

Oh that's good to know, you have any shows you like in particular?

Plenty I'm a big time collector...that phrase is a little weird but it's just to say I have hundreds of anime blu rays and dvds etc.

My actual favourite show ever is Big Windup, a little baseball show from 2007. Others are FMA Brotherhood, Eureka Seven, Hajime no Ippo and Maison Ikkoku.

There is a store in Ryde that sells Anime Merch and figures and waterstones in newport has a small selection of manga. I think Heroes in newport also has some stuff.

I pretty much exclusively purchase stuff online myself though tbh.

What are your favourite shows?

I'm a big Fate enjoyer, Heavens Feel, Unlimited Blade Works and Zero are my favorites but aside from Fate I also really liked Madoka Magica and Hyperdimension Neptunia. Also enjoyed a few horror anime (Another and Corpse Party)

Great thread! It's nice to get the rough idea of the geography of members here. I imagine the forum is probably spread pretty evenly all about the UK. I think we've got some Americans too, and we used to have an Italian guy who that was into making pastries, I wonder what happened to him, he was great. It's interesting we don't have a single Japanese member on here, as far as I'm aware. I know there's the language barrier, but I would have imagined at some point over the years someone hailing from the motherland with a dual penchant for anime and anglophilia would have washed up on these shores.
