SaiKano: Another Love Song OVA</ul>Comparing the new license annoucements at this year's Anime Expo convention to previous years, there has obviously been a marked decrease in the number of new anime titles being picked up for English-language distribution. Of course, there has long been talk of the likes of ADV intending to reduce their expenditure but it has never been clearer than now that this is indeed the direction the industry seems to be moving.

well last year alot of company got series that where backlog this year they dont have so many to get so it would be less.

I think all companies will be licensing less from now on. I am happy with the announcements for licensing myself, some things I will certainly be wanting.

I was also happy about an announcement by CPM , that Revolutionary Girl Utena will be coming down in price, its a bit out my price range just now, but have wanted it a while. SO I will pick it up when the price falls.

It seems as if ADV are certainly cutting back compared to last year! Which is a shame, a down-growth of anime is expected after the so called 'saturation-point- in US anime market.

However I am pleased with namely 3 of the licenses:

Kannaduki no Miko
Mai-HiME

and to an extent

2X2=Shinobuden

Having seen all three - all the way through - they are enjoyable to watch and especially Mai-HiME should do well. :)

Phew, glad I heard about Macross before I ordered those other 2 boxsets I'm missing. I'm highly tempted by Mai Hime, Trinity Blood, Kannaduki no Miko and 2x2=Shinobuden too.
