Anime Boxsets

Similar thread with some interesting discussion.

Thanks, I forgot to vote on that.

My least fav type of packaging is the type used by Funi for the DBZ orange box sets & by Viz for Inu Yasha.

Thinkpacks are good as they don't take up too much space, although artboxs are good as long as there is a collectors item to go with the dvd like a figurine, t-shirt or soundtrack cd.

Mysteriously, the thread reverts to its original topic!

I like nice packaging, but I would much rather it were compact and mediocre than huge and pretty. Shelf space is a valuable commodity 'round these parts nowadays.

I only have one box set (Azumanga Daioh), since usually if I've been really looking forward to a series I'll collect the volumes individually as they're released (All the volumes had already been released by the time I first got into Azumanga so I just went for the box set).
But really, I just want the DVDs, don't really bother for anything else. Although I do like it when they include little extras. (Like the notebook and pencil with my Azumanga Daioh box set, or some collectors editions of certain individual releases)
