Can someone be so kind as to answer me this question.

If what we see today is Digital Animation like Gungrave, Samurai Champloo for example.

What was Devilman, Ghost In The Shell, Akira & Battle Angel Alita?
 
Cel animation. Or hand drawn. Though some of those in your list use digital bits too I imagine for certain tricks. GITS at least probably does.

Gungrave uses digital colouring and older shows and movies like Akira used traditional hand painted cels. There are very few shows now that don't use digital colouring.

Wait, I thought it was impossible for this site to have a Bot? Since signing up result in activating it through email, which Bots are incapable of doing.

But bots have been come on here before though so there must be some way for them to get on
 
Basically the person who wrote the code for the bot had an e-mail account made which would click whatever links that were in any e-mail and thus the bot would keep trying to post until the account was activated.

this is not 1995, bots have been here for yonks.
 
There's about 90% chance it wasn't a bot. For example, the fact the user mentioned 'Cel Animation' makes it clear they understand the discussion in this thread. Also, that it got past my customized registration process seems to suggest 'adaptive' human intelligence rather than automated bot spam set to hit phpBB forums en-mass.
