Wind your neck in. If the show was going nowhere in three episodes, I have no intent to continue wasting my time (and good god was it wasted) watching the other ten and hoping it'd get better just to confirm my conclusions as correct in your eyes. As it stands, my reading about it off the blogs was probably giving it far too much attention.

Have you read the Aku no Hana manga, Conan?

First Volume, haven't gotten around to the rest but I want to read more. Honestly, the fact the manga designs are different than the cartoon's had no personal bearing on the subject. This isn't a question of aesthetics for me, it's a question of execution with a five for starter in proper PR management.
