AIR (and others)

Well other people might have already known about this series form ADV

But I thought I like to mention about the AIR series and film that ADV have lisenced. the series/film of course based of the Visual Novel of the same name (no expliciet scences of course  ) with the same developer that created Kanon.

The story focuses on a young travelering puppeteer, following in his mothers footsteps, who arrives at a nearby town. Before his mother passed away, she told him of a winged maiden she had searched for.
Yukito now looks on his own to still find that winged girl.

ADV have already released Vol 3 of the animation, and seems to have the film released around this time.

In sense of animation, it features the same creators of Haruhi Suzumiya
And Vioce acting cast includes talents from Luci Christian, Monica Rail and (as a humerous set of cercumstances) Tiffany Grant, playing as the ailen/dog Potatoe.

Other Realted VN's that have become Animes:
is the infomues School Days (because of its bad endings)

Which focuses on the story of Makoto and his one sided crush on Kotonoha. He beleives the rumor that secreatly having a picture of the one you love as a phone wallpaper, will grant your romatic wish.
Unfoutenly one of the female classmates, Sekai, sees the pic, which Matoko persuades Sekai to keep it a secreat. Icidently this leads them to a closser relationship.

Also theres the To Heart series that Right stuf Internationl have for sale, whether they do the secound and third seasons remains to be seen
Interesting fact about this is, that it was leaf that created the VN, the same company that created 'Comic Party'

Air is a very weird series I tried watching it but found the story a bit to depressing and could only watch each episode if I could find a cheerful to watch afterwards.

I really didn't like this series much at all. Very cliche styled art with the huge eyes, tiny noses and impossible hairstyles. The voice acting annoyed me, there was one girl who kept making this "Uuuuugh" noise or something, did my head in. It was just boring, I'm not a fan of romance anime in general such as Kanon, Clannad and all that, didn't expect myself to like this, and didn't.

well its just one of those things i guess, you know suited for different audience.

kinda like Mahoromatic, starts of with its ecchi jokes, (poor Saguru and his stash lol) but near the end of both seasons, they just brought tears to my eyes

But theres one thing you can agree on, and that the artwork is inmense. Just like Haruhi

I would disagree. The animation/artwork wasn't refreshing at all. Its one of them series that you know is anime. I rather KyoAni for titles such as Suzumiya than Air.

Clannad is keeping me entertained at the moment though. :P

Infomues? Holy ****, how on earth did you manage to mangle that word so badly?

I was writting it out on notebook, on my laptop, out in the cold T.T

Haven't seen Air but i wouldn't mind seeing it at some point. I enjoyed Kanon a lot and am enjoying Clannad at the moment too, so it'll be something for me to watch. KyoAni do a good job with those two, but i did hear there was some problems with the animation on the DVD's for Air, i can't remember what exactly though.

There's a difference between good artwork and good production. KyoAni specialises in high production values.

Besides, I still think FMP: The Second Raid has better animation than anything else they've done.

Well when you really norrow it down it all comes to taste, doesn't it?

Well i just thought I post it since it wasn't mentioned

i take it you and the first few guys that posted much prefer shonen series like Naruto, Gundam wing/seed etc.

Ooo also sorry for the uber old post on the NGE films

Seen Air, both Kanons, and watching Clannad. In case you haven't guessed, I kinda like Key works. I'd say Air is the most powerful of them so far, although the Kanon remakes has better direction. At least, the story seemed to come across more smoothly, compared to Air. Clannad's got potential to beat both of them, but it's too early to say yet if it'll do so.

Not all of it. Yes, some things are down to preference, but facts play a big part. Things like the quality of the characters or story can be proven. Liking them is a different matter.
