"ADV Films are proud to announce in collaboration with Rapture TV the return to UK digital TV of their anime catalogue, debuting with actioner Mezzo DSA. Starting on July 6th, first-run screenings of new episodes will take place Thursdays at 8.30pm, with a repeat as part of the Sunday anime block at the same time. This marks ADV’s return to UK screens after over a year, since SciFi Channel completed their run of Excel Saga."

Like proud parents they blab all over town about their son who made it to the top. Nevermind if they had to pay his way there while more qualified applicants serve under him.

A series which tries to be serious but ends up like Excel Saga completely random, it has no plot, a fun anime to watch which requires no thought, love it. <3

As long as they show a few good movies to compliment Mezzo, I'll not complain :)
I can think of some better items from the ADV catologue they could have chosen. However, I'm not complaining either because I fully expected Rapture to just just rewind Wolf's Rain after it had finished rather than show something new.

Um, redo Wolfs Rain? I thought that Rapture were actively trying to fill those slots with different stuff. Theres no shortage of good options.

I always got the impression that Rapture had a low viewership generally, and the anime block was a bit of a surprise hit for them.

The anime and gaming shows are probably the highlights for Rapture at the moment, with the anime surely pulling in the most (20,000 viewers for the Sunday anime slot 2 or 3 weeks into their channel, so I assume that figure has risen some since then).

But, I watch mezzo dsa and didn't like it. But each to thier own, 13 episode though. After that, they could show another great anime for the chrimbo period

Well I watched the interesting start of Mezzo DSA, and then its progressive slide into mediocrity. They burned the budget on the first ep really.

That said, I found it compelling enough to watch to completion, but I suspect that 'word of mouth' about the initial early episodes might drive people to watch the disappointing later ones and come away with a poor impression, and distrustful of the source of their recommendations.
