A good comedy

there is comedy and comedy, ie:

All harem series I know are comedy: I'd recommend tenchi, Love hina

school life: azumanga daioh, school rumble, pani poni dash (lucky star although I've only seen bits)

non-sensical: pani poni dash, excel saga

"otaku": welcome to nhk, genshiken, lucky star

fantasy: slayers and those who hunt elves.

some I can't classify, but I like anyway: you're under arrest, ah my goddess, chobits.
 
*School Rumble's a good one but is a bit boring after a while.
*Majin Tentei Nougami Neuro with action and louds of comedy
*Lucky Star one of the very few Shojos I like ^_^
