Straw Hat Pirate
The last of February's UK anime DVD releases are due out today, including the concluding volume of action series S-CRY-ed, the next two titles in Optimum's Studio Ghibli collection, and the long-awaited Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (also available in a double pack together with the first Ghost in the Shell movie).

All of this week's releases are listed below.

27 February 2006

Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence (Manga)

Kiki's Delivery Service (Optimum Asia)

Laputa: Castle in the Sky (Optimum Asia)

Robotech: The Masters #1 (Manga)

S-CRY-ed #6 (Beez)

Remember, you can always refer to our comprehensive schedule if you need more information on upcoming UK releases.

I've got kiki and laputa, but at some point i fully intend to get the new version - i am giving the old Buena vista versions to my nephew, who watched them and loved castle! (he's 3!) 8)

I'll probably get Innocence then Kiki if I have enough cash left over. As tempting as it is to get the new Laputa version I'll hang onto my mediocre BV edition for the time being.

No Paranoia Agent 3? Play.com is saying April now.
It is disappointing but coincides with my 24th birthday! Even if my family are utterly skint I'll still have a nice surprise coming though my letterbox.

Makes you wonder when the last disc will be out though. My guess is mid July at the earliest. :(

Paranoia Agent has had a release schedule that wouldn't look out of place for a 50 episode series... The first volume was out last July! I can only be thankful I only started collecting it in Janurary (by collecting I mean "buying the first and second volume" :p )

edit: ooohhh, go, go, go-hyaku postcount!

In my opinion MVM should worry less about semi-pointless Full Metal Alchemist tins and just focus on getting consistant release shedules. When they are capable of doing that then they can try doing something extra. It's sad when the something special for the fans is just getting the damn DVD released within a reasonable timeframe.
