24/06/2013: New Manga Releases This Week

I've got Gundam and Magica. Will also get Heroman, and the manhwa Aron's Absurd Armada which has a new volume out too.

Will be getting Triage X. Not in stock at the moment but for now it's cheaper from UP1, £8.23 (£7.03+£1.20 postage).

Hands up if you got the latest Spice & Wolf in the post today!

Damn that explicit content warning though; despite being on every volume, the manga is as tame as the anime. It leads to disappointment as with every new volume I hope that, for once, the warning is justified and I get me some gratuitous Holo nudity.

Yes i'm kinda confused as to why they keep putting it on the covers, Vol 1 perhaps merited it but I don't recall anything in 2/3 that would.

Looks like a fair few things for me, and I've just realised I haven't put this months order in

Words can't contain how happy I am that the Madoka Magica and Kazumi Magica volumes have matching spines.

This pleases me immensely. Go Yen Press.
Here's a picture of my volumes:

The only difference is that the volume number isn't in a speech bubble, but that's not a big deal at all really.

Looks good, and a little something to differentiate the volumes isn't too bad an idea

Eh, I've gone totaly sour on Yen Press after it turned out they were Region Locking the Harhui novels on E-readers.
To be fair, aren't the Haruhi novels handled by their parent company "Little, Brown" as opposed to Yen Press themselves?

And they were put on eReaders?!

This sort of knowledge makes me thankful for my love of real books. At least no-one has yet found a way to region lock paper.

There is no "region locking" in the same way you would refer to BDs or video games, because it is nothing to do with the hardware - it's trivial to purchase eBooks from geolocked sites and read them on your Kindle without having to do anything to the files or the reader.

Yeah, but at that point you're still performing an illegal act, you just have the ligtimacy of "Doing the right thing" which means bugger all in case your access is revoked via TOS volation, which breaking the geolocking would be considered as such.

And, don't get me wrong, I'd love to buy the novels for legitimacy but I ain't jumping though no hoops if it's viewed under the law as incorrect just because some asswipe did the contract in the dumbest way possible and I'm sure as balls ain't gonna reward them financially for doing it by buying the physical (Same thing with WSJ)

Just pray the cyborg revolution happens after the region lock destruction revolution. Also, I like to keep my space to a premium.

That doesn't help matters, it just adds one more culprit.

Not that you'd know it from even going to Amazon's US Kindle Store (They employ some skeezy region locking ******** in there too) but yes, both on the amazon and Nook stores (Don't try it, you'll just get an error)
