22/10/2014: New Manga Releases This Week

Need to catch up with Gantz. Monster is on my list, but I'd rather have the smaller volumes....perhaps I can find some on ebay now these have been released.

The cover art of Arpeggio of the Blue Steel looks tsunderific. Don't know anything else about it, though... except seafaring shenanigans, I'm guessing.

Haganai v9 should be on its way from TBD soon. Or, knowing TBD, a bit longer than soon.

They've saved the best character for volume 3. But love this one too - will definitely be picking up after I finish vol. 1

Is it just me or is that AOT combo edition quite expensive? I'm sure most of the singles are only £5, meaning buying 1-4 individually would be only £20 (or less if you bought second hand)

RRP is 7.99 each I think. Which comes to 31.96 for four. So yes, this is slightly more expensive than buying them individually.

I was in Forbidden Planet here when they'd just got that AoT boxset in. They'd priced it at £31.99 but when I pointed out you could buy the individual volumes for £7.99 each (and they have all manga on 3 for 2 anyway) they then reduced it to £29.99. I bought No 6 9 on that trip, I will also be getting the Alice novel.

I didn't think Kodansha stuff was included in the 3 for 2 things? All the 3 for 2 stuff that I've bought from them are published by either Viz or Dark Horse. And I've picked up a fair few Kodansha/Del Rey/Tanoshimi titles from there.

The one in Edinburgh has all manga on 3 for 2, regardless of publisher. The one in Glasgow does not have anything on 3 for 2. The one in Newcastle has Viz stuff only on 3 for 2.

Sankarea is one of my favourites. I'll just wait a couple of weeks for the Kindle price to drop to the usual £4.06, then I'm on it.

Speaking of Kindle, I do wish Seven Seas would make their stuff available digitally, as I think they're pretty much the only ones left - Viz, Kodansha and Vertical are all up there.

How is reading Manga on kindle?

My collection takes up a little too much space so buying future stuff electronically sounds good

Can someone get photos from that Attack on Titan boxset? Is that like a vizbig or what? I still have to start buying the manga but I've decided the singles over the colossal edition. But now this...
