Looks like Abenobashi 3 has a magical girl spoof on it :)

Sounds good; I'm on Abenobashi vol 1 at the moment though, so got some catching up to do. Getting back to Spee's earlier question, I would say that I like Azumanga Daioh better, though.

I dont think you can comapre them tbh. Ones a good natured High School comedy, while the others a wacky parody of anything and everything :p

I was just looking for a comedy that wasn't harem-based!

I really think Azumanga is great, very funny and enjoyable.
My favourite anime comedy to date is actually Rune Soldier , but the slapstick humour is definately not something that appeals to everyone.

i wonder if the last vol of Rune Soldier will have more of a plot to finsh it off. I like Rune Soldier alot and there is a plot but its gone really slow and its not realy getting anywhere i hope the last vol tells us what that teacher is up to

Fairly sure the last volume will involve The teacher guy , erm Master Faltis is his name I think , summoning an army of monsters to take over the kingdom ( maybe a dragon ) and Louie and the girls saving the day. Then Louie will be a true hero and that will be the end , all happy and silly like the rest of the series.

My prediction anyway ;)

I dont mind there not really be a plot overall though, Azumanga certainly dosent have a plot , and Excel Saga dosent have many signs of one till the end either. It dosent seem to be too frequent for comedy animes to have a plot that often it seems.
