Has there been any news on the issue with DBS Super Hero's 4K disc's Dolby Vision not working correctly? I remember hearing a rumour of a replacement scheme possibly happening but haven't heard any updates since.

It's a new product from AL for the UK market. Not sure if it's sold out yet but they also did a collector's edition, The standard edition is what they've promoted today. If you're in the US it's probably cheaper to get the domestic release from Nozomi unless you want the collector's edition...

I cancelled my Funi sub back when they announced that they were merging the services, not that I used it much unless I really had to. Surprised it took them this long to properly sunset it but they still haven't fully moved over the catalogue afaik?

Isn't this a Sentai one? So it'll probably be through either MVM or AL here.

Bigger titles like One Piece, Eva and a couple others get everything released at once but for most things, there's usually a few months wait for the standard.

I'm 26 and I buy a lot of physical anime, it's scaled down in recent years as I mostly just keeping up with some of the new stuff that comes out rather delving into certain distro's catalogues. I like the varied and weird line up of Discotek and there's usually at least one thing that I get from...

Are you able to comment on which masters will be used for the UK release? I believe there's 3 versions, the US, Italian and Japanese releases all use different upscales from afaik.

The movie is round 90 minutes and the full OVA is about 3 hours, so you're losing about half the content in the movie.

Even tho Skypiea was a while ago and comparatively early on in the series, I'll spoiler my response. Hope that helps.

Yep, they didn't release a whole bunch of stuff it was mainly the first season of Heroic Legend of Arslan (2015) and both parts of Seraph of the End. AL have no re-released both of those. There could have been more but I was only aware of those 2 specifically.

Most hentai probably wouldn't make it past the BBFC even under their pronographic certification and you can't release anything in UK without an age rating.

    What did you BUY today?

Filmed on 16mm, it's surprising how good it actually looks. There's some shots here and there that look a bit soft but that's probably down to the source rather than the transfer. It's also in the original 4:3 ratio, I think the BD was cropped to 16:9? Evil Dead 2 also looks really good.

The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a thread)

The full season sets have usually followed quite a while after all the part sets have been released, so season 3 will get one at some point. They didn't jump staright to releasing season 4 as a full set so much as there wasn't any point in doing part sets.
