The new intro wasn't that bad - I quite like Tackey & Tsubasa :D I would have prefered a little more continuation of the storyline, as there was more than 10 minutes of recap, 3 minutes of theme tunes, leaving not an awful lot of time for the actual story - what Franky did was pretty cool...

Finished watching Betterman last night. It's a pretty decent anime overall, although the subject matter ended up being a little weird at the end. Also watched the 4th One Piece movie - major WOW! factor stuff ^__^

Thanks to Necromancer I was able to watch the predecessor of One Piece OVA and the 1st movie yesterday. The OVA was bloody awful - never seen Zoro look so small and old before - didn't like the seiyuu and it was too rushed. The 1st movie was great, but more like a 2 episode special than a movie...

I's not just yuri, it's a lot of anime (I Me My Strawberry Eggs, Ichigo 100% etc). I think it's something to do with strawberries not being such a common fruit in Japan and they're looked upon as being a delicacy (like a musk melon being a symbol of love - they cost something like 10,000 yen!)...

I think I've watched it dubbed 3 times and the rest was subbed! The dub is actually pretty good, although Ruri doesn't sound so good saying "Idiots" instead of "Baka", but overall the dub is definitely worth watching if you have that option as well!

I've watched Nadesico around 8/9 times now and the most recent watch (about a month ago) I felt the most satisfied with the ending! There are a few issues left unresolved, but it's nothing major if you think about it. The movie resolves nothing, but it does add a very dark element to Akito...

Excel Saga is on my discard pile - I hated it! It took me 3 days to gather enough gusto to watch the final DVD; I hated it that much :? The only saving grace was Menchi and Watanabe and his Power Rangers. I'm still not sure even now why I watched it....no wait....it cost me money, that's why :lol:

I started watching it on fansub and now I'm buying the R1 DVD releases (up to volume 3 so far) and I really like the Ghibli-esque look of the characters and the slightly more serene feel of the storyline. I have yet to see the ending, so I don't know how it pans out later on in the series, but...

Getting some great new things from Otaku: Betterman Anime Legends boxset Kodocha volume 9 Spiral thinpak boxset Yu Yu Hakusho "Second Wind" boxset - eps 15-28 - I'm going to try out the dub of Spiral and have wanted to see Betterman for some time now and at least with the Anime Legends...

.....and you're better off staying that way! The biggest mistake I made in my anime viewing was watching Samurai X: Reflection. Kenshin's whole character was changed and turned into something unrecognisable - nasty!

You have been warned :wink: It is a total 180 from the TV series. Everyone has a different personality, but especially Akito and Yurika. You really may not like what has been done to them and like me, may even regret having watched it! It's a bit like the difference between Rurouni Kenshin...

Kenshin isn't something I class as a typical shounen action anime, which is why it isn't on my list of what I've seen already!
