I'd be interested to hear impressions of how the Macross Plus UE turned out, especially video quality and the book. I remember being disappointed by the huge book in the Evangelion UE because so much of it was just page after page of episode credits, episode synopses, etc.

I don't envy that person having to read through hundreds of pages of complaints about quality control and delays to get up to date on this thread. 😅

Considering that Amazon UK listed this for £9 (a lot less than other places), the muddled item description said it was either a DVD or a Blu-ray in various places, and it had no delivery estimate for weeks after release, I expected this order to either be cancelled or for an old DVD to show up...

I pre-ordered the deluxe edition. I'm glad I resisted the urge to import the US version that didn't have subtitles for the special features disc.

IIRC the US Godzilla Store version didn't translate the booklet, but there's English text on that preview image. Whether the booklet has the same contents is a different question. Also it's saying region B, while the US version is region free, so there are some apparent differences.
