We had our national championships this weekend. I walked away with a bronze medal in K1 Full Contact fighting. Although for some reason waking up since then has become something of a chore...
It's a reference to Funimation and their often-used contention that "working closely with Studio Khara" is the reason for the indefinite delay in Evangelion 3.33's release.
Over the past weeks I purchased and pre-ordered from different retailers:
The Cat Returns [Blu-ray]
HAL - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray (?)]
Blood Lad - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray]
Angel Beats OST
Bunny Drop, volume 1
Bunny Drop, volume 2
The Limit, volume 3
The Limit, volume 4
Ringing Bell...
If you can remaster the film in a proper HD sound format (not the 2.0 malarkey on the US Blu-ray), then I'm behind you all the way. If you can score the soundtracks, then I shall be more than willing the quadruple dip with Cowboy Bebop.
I have absolutely no idea who Danny Mansfield is, but right now I consider him one of my heroes for echoing my sentiments over here.
I agree: the whole "working with Studio Khara" angle is now threadbare, nevermind wearing thin.
Penultimate volume, actually.
If the pattern still holds (English volume gets released one year after Japanese) then the final volume should come out July 2015.
The release date of Eva 3.33 is certainly taken on a certain Holy Grail quality. Ask about it on Funimation's Facebook page, and you're pretty much assured to be chided by what I'm sure must be two Funimation's sockpuppets, Floyd Mungaray and Kitty Sparkes.
The latest one however actually calls...
I'll tell you, there is something poetic about announcing to your boss, who in the preceding weeks handed you a number of tasks and assignments with very tight deadlines, that you were able to complete all said tasks and assignments within their deadlines. You can't help but be smug about it as...
One of the local e-tailers ran a competition: submit a review and stand a chance to win a significant amount of in-store credit. I submitted a review, the write-up on Highschool of the Dead I posted here in fact. I've just been informed that mine was the winning review, so - quite literally -...
Allow me then to compound your misery and mention that my sister has been accepted for a post in London which she will be starting in January. Sucks not to be a qualified CA, doesn't it?
Our National Championships are coming in August, and I have few blink-and-you"ll-miss-them cameos in the promo video. The most prominent one has me grabbing an attacker most inappropriately (It was choreographed that way, I swear!!!).
Amazon.com has the final volume of the Evangelion manga down for release on 02/12/2014.
The UK site has it down for 04/12/2014.
I'll be waiting for a listing on Right Stuf before I start cracking open the champagne.
It's been established that the delay was because of issues with the dub. It is now further established that the dub is not yet complete. The source credited is no less than Spike Spencer himself.
At this rate it looks like they are pushing for a Comic-Con announcement. As one of the 50 or so...
Yep, worldwide release in November. But although Viz have already mentioned this on their Facebook page, they haven't yet released the final volume for pre-order. I'm guessing this will also happen at San Diego.
